Weed Characteristics

Other Names: yard knotweed, door-weed, mat-grass, knot-grass

Leaf Type: Broadleaf

Flowers: White, green, pink

Leaves: Oblong leaves with smooth edges; no hair

Life Cycle: Summer annual

Ground-hugging, mat-forming weed with branching stems. Leaves are narrowly oval and dull blue-green. One of the first annuals to emerge in spring, but grows slowly until mid-summer. Flowers are insignificant.
